"I will get married soon," said Rahul Gandhi, the 38-year-old scion of the Nehru-Gandhi family. He was replying to a question at a roadshow on Tuesday on whether he had any plans to tie the knot.

BCCI's senior vice president Rajiv Shukla has ruled out cancellation of Australia's cricket tour to India following the serial blasts in New Delhi on Saturday. Speaking to rediff.com, Shulka said, "There is no question of the tour being cancelled."
Peter Young, spokesman for the Australian Cricket Board, said the safety of players comes first and all the standard procedures laid down before undertaking a foreign tour would be applied in this case as well. Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil warned of "stringent punishment" to those behind the serial blasts in New Delhi and appealed to people to be united to thwart their nefarious designs. Patil, who reviewed the situation soon after the blasts, which claimed several lives, said the need of the hour was to ensure that their aims did not succeed and the situation was not allowed to deteriorate.
Anuj Chauhan, one of the two persons injured in Thursday's BMW hit-and-run case in New Delhi, succumbed to his injuries at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Saturday. Chauhan and his friend Mrigank Srivastav, who were riding a motorcycle, were hit by a BMW in the wee hours of Friday, when they tried to overtake it at the Moolchand Hospital flyover.The BMW was being driven by Utsav Bhasin, the son of an influential businessman, who was reportedly inebriated.
The Delhi police have arrested Utsav Bhasin, a businessman living in the Punjabi Bagh area of North Delhi for causing injury to two people on a motorcycle.

Sanjeev Nanda, prime accused in the BMW hit-and-run incident, was convicted by a Delhi court on Tuesday. Nanda's car mowed down six persons, including three cops, were in 1999.
